Thumb Area Charter Boat Association's Mission
Statement:
To promote the recognition of the charter industry
and the professionalism of the charter captains in the thumb area.
To insure the general public that our vessels are
fully inspected by the State of Michigan and the Captains are licensed
by the United States Coast Guard.
To secure continued fish plants, improve our harbor facilities, and
to promote the thumb area.

THE THUMB AREA WAS PICKED BY THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR SEVERAL YEARS FOR HAVING PORTS WITH THE MOST FISH CAUGHT PER CHARTER TRIP.
